Cohort Instructor (K-2nd)

Rooted Educational Cooperative is seeking passionate, Christ-centered educators to join our growing team as Cohort Instructors. This position is a 10-month + 10-day contract, working four days per week in a collaborative, hands-on learning environment.

Cohort Instructors will guide small groups of students through a holistic, Christ-focused educational experience that emphasizes curiosity, connection, and community. In addition to classroom instruction, teachers will work closely with fellow instructors and administration to design and refine curriculum that integrates faith, academic rigor, and experiential learning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant content area (education or related field preferred)

  • Commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and academic growth of students

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Passion for outdoor, project-based, and relational learning

  • Alignment with REC statement of faith- both in word and deed

Classroom Assistant (20 hours per week)

The Classroom Assistant supports two student cohorts, working collaboratively with lead instructors to assist with teaching, supervision, and daily classroom operations. This role includes helping facilitate lessons, supporting individual and small-group learning, and maintaining a positive, engaging environment for all students. Ideal candidates are flexible, team-oriented, and passionate about supporting young learners. Previous classroom or youth experience is preferred.
