A New Chapter in the Journey

When I first stepped away from traditional education, I knew God was calling me into something different — something slower, freer, and more intentional. What I didn’t fully understand then was that He wasn’t just calling me out of something. He was calling me into something new.

Over these past months of homeschooling, exploring, and learning outside the lines, I’ve seen such joy — not just in my children, but in myself. The flexibility, the freedom, the hands-on discovery — it’s been everything I hoped for and more.

But along the way, I’ve also felt another stirring.

Because while freedom is beautiful, community is essential.

Children need other children. They need to laugh, learn, and build alongside friends. They need to be guided by loving adults who see their unique gifts and point them back to Christ. And parents — we need one another, too. To share the load, to speak life, to remind each other why we chose this path in the first place.

Out of that conviction — and a whole lot of prayer — a new dream has begun to take root.

It’s called Rooted Educational Cooperative.

Rooted is our way of bringing together the best of both worlds: the freedom and wonder of alternative education, grounded in the truth of God’s Word and strengthened by authentic community.

We’re in the early, prayer-filled days — what I like to call our “soft launch.” But we’re excited to share that we are aiming to officially kick off our first school year in Fall 2026 with two cohorts and two teachers.

This is more than just a plan; it’s a calling. A vision for an education that’s Christ-centered, curiosity-driven, and community-supported — where children are free to grow deep roots in both faith and knowledge.

As we begin sharing this vision and inviting families to join us, we would love your prayers. Pray that God continues to guide every decision and bring together the right families and leaders for this next season.

We believe that education can be both freeing and faithful. That learning can happen with wonder, wisdom, and worship — all at once.

Rooted is about that balance. About raising up a generation who knows who they are, whose they are, and how deeply they are loved.

So here we grow — with open hands, hopeful hearts, and our eyes fixed on Him.

With grace & grit,
Kehla
